Research

Culturing a common foliiose lichen from asexual propagules in the laboratory to foster developmental studies on symbiotic organisms. Experimental studies demonstrating mechanical constraints in fly sex comb development across species . Theoretical work on the impact of self-organization at all biological levels on the rate and origin of novelty in evolution. Mechanisms of environmental effects on the penetrance of mutations.
