The Department of Cell & Systems Biology is delighted to announce that Dr. Joshua Currie has accepted a position in our department as an Assistant Professor starting in May 2018.
Dr. Currie’s research focus is on the cellular and molecular basis of regeneration of complex tissues, such as the vertebrate limb. His use of clonal lineage analysis, gene editing and advanced microscopy techniques to study this process strongly complements CSB’s expertise in cell and developmental biology using model organisms. There is also a wonderful opportunity to continue to build stronger ties between CSB and the Medicine by Design program here at U of T.
