CSB397Y0Y, Research Abroad in Cell and Systems Biology (Summer 2022)

The Department of Cell and Systems Biology, in collaboration with the Centre for International Experience (CIE) and U of T’s partner institutions abroad, offer an independent research course for CSB students.  This course is intended for students who have completed their 3rd year of study by the time they take the course.  However, some 2nd and 4th year students have also been accepted.  CSB397Y0 allows you to gain international research experience while you complete a U of T credit towards your degree. Click this link for information about the course.

There will be a Virtual Information Session on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 3-4pm. Click here to register for the information session. Check the program poster for more details or contact undergrad.csb@utoronto.ca.

If you wish to apply to the CSB397Y0 Research Abroad course, you must do so on-line through CIE at  https://learningabroad.utoronto.ca/prepare/.  The application form will be available later this Fall.  The deadline to apply will be early December 2021.

There are a number of partner institutions where we have sent our students.  They are City University of Hong Kong (CityU), National University of Singapore (NUS), the University of Konstanz (Germany), RIKEN Institute (Japan), University of Copenhagen (Denmark), Masaryk University (Czech Republic), Strathclyde University (Scotland) and Tel Aviv University (Israel). Opportunities at these institutions will depend on COVID restrictions.

We will consider sending students to other CIE partner institutions on a case by case basis.
