Course Description
Seminars analyzing major concepts in developmental biology from quantitative, physics-based molecular perspectives. We will read advanced papers which apply physical/mechanical concepts, often formulated in simple mathematical terms, to the study of developmental mechanism, and analyze these papers in depth to become acquainted with this important approach. Small groups of 3 students will present a paper, all students are required to read the paper and should be prepared to explain any of the figures, equations or data sets from the paper upon request.
