Description of the module:
An introductory course for 1st year graduate students in CSB. This lecture / seminar course will provide students with essential skills in hypothesis generation, experimental design, research ethics, and data analysis, including introductions to image and statistical analysis. Another focus will be developing proficiency in delivering effective presentations and crafting compelling research proposals.
Evaluation (subject to change):
2 Written assignments: 10% & 20%; Lightening talk: 15%; Peer evaluation: 10%; 4 reflections: 20% (5% each); Seminar rubric assignment: 10%
Class participation: 15%
