CSB397Y0Y, Research Abroad in Cell and Systems Biology (Summer 2026)
The Department of Cell and Systems Biology, in collaboration with the Centre for International Experience (CIE) and U of T’s partner institutions abroad, offer an independent research course for CSB students. This course is intended for students who have completed their 3rd year of study by the time they take the course. However, some 2nd and 4th year students have also been accepted. CSB397Y0 allows you to gain international research experience while you complete a U of T credit towards your degree. Click this link for information about the course.
If you wish to apply to the CSB397Y0 Research Abroad course, you must do so on-line through CIE. The application deadline is November 25, 2025.
There are a number of partner institutions where we have sent our students. They are Chinese University of Hong Kong, National University of Singapore (NUS), the University of Konstanz (Germany), University of Graz (Austria), Ashesi University, Ghana and Masaryk University (Czech Republic).
We will consider sending students to other CIE partner institutions on a case by case basis.
